Table of contents:
#1: General information
I, the artist, reserve myself the right to decline any commission request and/or cancel a commission slot for any reason at my discretion.
I will not be responsible for any errors in the final product due to missing or incorrect information from you, the client, such as (but not limited to): a character's design, clothes; environmental details or colours; any relevant details to the character and/or scene being portrayed. My process includes several instances to ask for corrections, which include screenshots of my progress - make sure to make any corrections during the appropriate stages, as outlined in section #4.
I work Monday-Friday, typically from 10am to 7pm (GMT-3). I am disabled. I may work at a slower or faster rate depending on my health. I’m also a University student, as so my workflow may be affected by my studies. Feel free to ask for status updates at any time! I send screenshots whenever significant progress has been made, but you can request a status update whenever you wish. However, I may not have any updates to report if you ask for them too frequently.
Depending on the nature or contents of your commission, you may need to provide proof that you're 18 or older. This may involve you sharing a picture of your ID, license, or passport; the only information that needs to be visible is your date of birth. Make sure to also include a piece of paper with your handle and the current date written on it to verify its authenticity.

#2: Contact
Feel free to contact me for commissions through any of my contact media, and please stick to one. For example, if you're commissioning me through Telegram, please refrain from suddenly asking for updates through Discord. I may make exceptions based on the situation (loss of access to an account, for example).
All communication regarding a commission will be held in private for the safety of all parties. All personal, identifying information will be kept private, and won't be discussed with any third parties.

#4: The commission process
Once commission details have been discussed, I will tentatively add you, the client, to my queue, and will request payment as per section #5: Payment.
Once I confirm I've received your payment, I will officially add you to my queue. My queue is publicly available through Trello, you can access it at any point here.
Clients will get Work In Progress screenshots (WIPs) at all points during the commissioning process, which may or may not have watermarks across them, to make sure the commission is coming out the way they want it. Please make sure to answer your messages in a timely manner so I can keep working - I can't work in your commission unless I'm told everything looks good to go!
You will get screenshots during all these phases: base sketch, cleaned sketch, lineart, colouring, shading, and detailing. I will also send you screenshots if I'm having difficulties nailing the details of a particular part of the commission, or if I'm needing extra input to choose between two or more options.
Clients can ask for 2 major corrections and 5 minor corrections to their drawing while it’s still a sketch. Clients can ask for 3 corrections on the lineart. Corrections to base colours can be done at no extra cost. Clients will need to pay extra if they need more corrections than the amount listed here, due to the extra time and effort that goes into them. Make sure to have a clear idea of what you want before asking for a correction.
Major corrections involve having to redraw the commission as a whole. They include (but aren't limited to): radical changes in posing or viewing angle, changes in posing that require the background to be changed or redrawn.
Minor corrections involve adding details to the commission or introducing changes that don't require other parts of the overall composition to change. They include (but aren't limited to): adding accessories such as rings or glasses, changing eye/eyebrow posing.
The buyer will get a full resolution .png of their commission once it's been finished, either via Telegram, Dropbox, Discord, or email.
Once it’s been stated that a commission has been finished, no further free corrections will be accepted. Corrections will only be done for an extra cost.
All commissions have the potential to be posted to my art pages and social media, at my discretion. Clients can ask to not be named/tagged if they specifically don't want to be. Clients can also ask for their commission to not be posted until a certain date has passed (for example, a birthday, Christmas, an anniversary…). If a commission is not to be posted anywhere, this has to be arranged previous to the commission being paid for, no exceptions.

#5: Payment
Worldwide: all payments are to be made in full in US$ (United States Dollars) through PayPal invoices. You do not need a PayPal account to receive and pay PayPal invoices, all you need is an email address to send the invoice to. Paypal invoices come with an option to send a tip, if you so choose.
Argentina: residents from Argentina can pay in AR$ (Pesos Argentinos) through bank transfer (CBU/CVU/alias). Pricing in AR$ is only available through bank transfer, and is not available through Paypal.
Clients have up to 10 days to pay for their commission. If they can’t pay by then, the client will lose their spot in the queue. If you need more time to pay, let me know!
Payment plans of up to three months are available for commissions over US$250 (AR$250.000).
I will only start working after I've received the totality (100%) of the payment.
If you want an art piece on a quick notice (1-7 days after payment has gone through), you will have to pay an additional 75% rush fee.
The extra free involved in commissions for commercial use and private commissions (to not be shared anywhere at any point in time) will be discussed in private on a case-by-case basis.
Commissions, depending on the type, my queue, and personal circumstances, may take anywhere from 2 days to 6 months to be finished after payment has been received. See #1: General Information.
If you wish to cancel your commission and/or ask for a refund, please read #6: Cancellations and refunds.
(Table of contents)
#6: Cancellations and refunds
Refunds will be managed by myself, and will be discussed in private before they’re able to be done. The time it takes for your refund to be processed will depend on what you used to pay the commission (Paypal balance, card, bank transfer...), and it outside my control.
Worldwide: I, as the person who sent out the invoice, have a "refund" button that automatically gives back all the money paid in a Paypal invoice, including any transaction fees. Please don't ask for a chargeback or initiate a Paypal dispute; everything can be negotiated.
Argentina: I will send the money back to the account I received the bank transfer from, or another account owned by the same person, no exceptions. I will double-check with you that the CBU/CVU/alias is correct before doing the transfer.
If I haven’t started working on your commission and you wish to cancel it, you may be entitled to a 100% refund.
If the commission is in its sketch phase, or if I've missed a previously discussed deadline, and you wish to cancel it, you may be entitled to a 50% refund.
If I’ve already moved past the sketch phase and have started working on the lineart, base colours, and/or background, you will not be entitled to a refund. If you wish, I can send you a full resolution .png of what I managed to work on before it was cancelled.
I reserve the right to decide to cancel your commission and give you a full refund if I'm unable to finish your art piece for any reason.
Depending on the state of the commission at the time it's cancelled, I reserve myself the right to edit the artwork to possibly resell it. It won't hold any resemblance to the original design as to avoid confusion.
Depending on when the refund is asked for, I may not be able to refund you instantly. It may take me a few days or weeks to have the money to give back again. Commissions are my only source of income, and so I may not always have the money on hand to refund you right away. Rest assured I will refund you as soon as possible.

#7: Usage of imagery
I reserve full rights to the images produced for clients, their distribution and use, unless otherwise specified. Commissions will not be used for profit by any party unless previously discussed.
The commissioner may use the artwork produced for them to their leisure, for personal use, providing proper credit to the original artist: me.
Commissions are meant for the person or people paying for them, and as so they are the only other party allowed to officially distribute the artwork.
None of these things can be done to my art: erasing the signature; claiming it as artwork made by anyone other than me; heavily altering or editing the image without previous approval, removing it from its original context; selling it or otherwise profiting off it in any way unless previously specified and agreed upon.
Nothing made by me (Valen, Valen’s Art Den, Valen Rambles...) may be used in any blockchain-related and/or AI-related technology, to include NFTs, cryptocurrency, art AI training, or any other present or future inventions or developments in these spaces.

#8: Final notes
By commissioning me, you agree and abide by these terms of service.
By commissioning me, you agree that breaking any of these terms and conditions could result in being blacklisted from commissioning me.
By commissioning me, you agree that breaking any of these terms and conditions, depending on the circumstances, could result in public measures, such as call-outs and beware posts, to ensure the safety of other artists.

Here's the websites you can find me - and my art - at! This list may change in the future as I try different platforms.
To commission me, please contact me through Discord, Telegram, or Tumblr. I'll get back to you as soon as possible! Commission inquiries only.Remember to include the commission type you're looking for alongside a reference of the character or characters you'd like me to draw, to speed up the commission process!
My NSFW art will become available on Inkblot and Itaku at some point in the future, both of which require you to confirm you're 18 or older to see them. As of 01/03/23, I am far too busy to upload the backlog, however I will do my best to find a way to efficiently queue and post these automatically, as doing so manually requires an amount of time I simply do not have. It's no secret that it's becoming progressively harder for artists to find venues through which we can post such content online. Whether it's me or another artist you enjoy, remember to support us.Remember that you will need to provide proof you're 18 or older if you wish to commission NSFW, read the Terms of Service for more information.
